How Date Calculations Work

Calendar Difference: Years are counted first, then months, then remaining days. This mirrors how people naturally think about durations.

Leap Years: February 29 is automatically handled. The calculator uses actual calendar months, not a fixed 30-day approximation.

Workdays: Monday through Friday, excluding weekends. Public holidays are not excluded as they vary by country.

Time Difference: When using the Time Difference tab, each input resolves to an exact UTC instant using the selected timezone. DST transitions are detected and flagged.
